How do you integrate n8n with SAP?
Learn the components, security boundaries and automation scenarios involved in connecting n8n to SAP with the NeKu AI n8n SAP Connector.

How do you integrate n8n with SAP?
An n8n SAP integration makes SAP data and permitted actions part of an n8n workflow. The NeKu AI n8n SAP Connector combines an open-source node installed in n8n with a secure service layer that runs on the SAP side.
Which components does the integration use?
The n8n node defines the automation while the SAP-side service handles its calls. The target environment, endpoint and authentication method are configured for the enterprise SAP architecture. Existing SAP roles remain authoritative; the connector does not grant permissions that the SAP user does not already have.
Which processes can be automated?
- Read reports or business-object data from SAP and send it to another system
- Start a permitted SAP action from a web form or CRM record
- Connect SAP results to email, ticket or approval workflows
- Send SAP data to an AI analysis step
For workflows that modify data, teams should use a test environment, define error and retry boundaries, and follow least-privilege authorization for the SAP user.
How is an n8n integration different from SAP AI?
The n8n SAP Connector provides data and action connectivity between SAP and automation workflows. SAP AI also includes agents that interpret SAP context, ready-to-run task workflows and, when required, SAP MCP Server tools. Both approaches can work together in the same architecture.
